Pitchfork Music Festival Comes To Hackney

US-based music publication Pitchfork has announced the inaugural edition of the Pitchfork Music Festival London, which will be held from 10 – 14 November 2021, featuring performances from over 50 new and established acts from a variety of genres, who will perform at various iconic spaces in London, including the recently refurbished Hackney Church.

NME reports that the London festival will run back-to-back with Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, which is being held between 16 – 20 November, and features Bobby Gillespie & Jenny Beth, Anna Meredith, Mykki Blanco, Charlotte Adigéry, Emma Jean Thackray, Black Midi and many more on an eclectic bill.

Daniel Monsell, MD of Form Presents, Pitchfork’s UK partner, said: “We at FORM are delighted to be partnering with Pitchfork to bring this inaugural UK edition of the festival to London.

“Pitchfork is such an important resource for so many music fans in the UK and it feels even more special to do so in its 25th year of existence, being both long-term fans of the site and the amazing event in Paris.”

He added that the company is excited about the season of events, and being able to bring such vital artists into an array of the capital’s best venues, particularly when live music has been missed so much throughout the pandemic.

Pitchfork’s editor in chief Puja Patel added, “After an incredibly difficult year for artists, fans, and our music community, we’re excited to celebrate the return of live music with so many legendary venues across two of the most important music cities in the world.”

Patel added that being able to host festivals in London and Paris during the publication’s 25th anniversary feels all the more special.
